Number of international migrants worldwide and as a share of the global population, 1990-2024

The number of international migrants worldwide is estimated by the United Nations in 304 million in 2024, almost doubling in comparison to 1990 (154 ml). In the same period of time their share of the world population has increased from 2.9% to 3.7%.
